2. Registration & Account

How do I create an account?

Click on "Sign Up" from the homepage or navigation menu. Fill in your personal information, including your name, email, matriculation number, graduation year, and other required details. After submitting, you'll receive an email verification link to activate your account.

Who is eligible to register?

Graduates of the University of Lagos and final-year students are eligible to register and create an account on the platform.

What information do I need to provide?

During registration, you'll need to provide your name, email address, matriculation number, graduation year, faculty, department, and password. Additional information like contact details, professional information, and profile picture can be added after registration.

How do I verify my email?

After registering, you'll receive an email with a verification link. Click on the link to verify your email address. If you didn't receive the email, check your spam folder or request a new verification email.

What should I do if I forgot my password?

Click on "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page. Enter your email address, and you'll receive a password reset link via email. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

How do I register for events?

Browse available events on the Events page. Click on an event to view details, then click "Register Now" to complete your registration. For paid events, you'll be redirected to a secure payment page.

Can I cancel my event registration?

Cancellation policies vary by event. Please check the event details for cancellation information, or contact the event organizers for assistance with cancellations and refunds.

How do I view my registered events?

Go to the Events page and click "View my Events," or access your registered events from the Dashboard. You can view event details, download tickets, and manage your registrations from there.

What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, registered attendees will be notified via email. For paid events, refunds will be processed according to the event's refund policy. Please check your email or contact event organizers for details.

What is the alumni directory?

The alumni directory is a searchable database of registered alumni. It allows you to find and connect with fellow graduates based on faculty, department, graduation year, location, industry, and other criteria.

How do I update my profile?

Go to your Profile page from the navigation menu or dashboard. Click "Edit Profile" to update your information, including contact details, professional information, social media links, bio, and profile picture.

Can I control my profile visibility?

Yes, you can control whether your profile is visible in the public alumni directory. Go to your Profile or Settings page to adjust your privacy settings and profile visibility preferences.

How do I find other alumni?

Use the Alumni Directory page to search for alumni by name, faculty, department, graduation year, location, or industry. You can filter and refine your search to find specific alumni or explore the network.

5. Jobs

How do I apply for jobs?

Browse available job listings on the Jobs page. Click on a job posting to view details, then click "Apply" to submit your application. You may be asked to upload your CV or provide additional information.

Can I post job opportunities?

Job postings are typically managed by the alumni association administrators. If you have a job opportunity to share, please contact the alumni association for assistance with posting.

How do job applications work?

When you apply for a job, your application and CV are submitted to the employer or job poster. You can track your applications from your dashboard. The employer will contact you directly if they're interested in your application.

6. Community & News

How do I participate in community discussions?

Navigate to the Community section to view posts and discussions. You can create new posts, comment on existing posts, reply to comments, and engage with other alumni in various discussion threads.

How do I stay updated with news?

Check the News section regularly for updates from the University of Lagos and alumni association. You can also enable notifications in your account settings to receive updates via email or push notifications.

Can I post on the community forum?

Yes, registered alumni can create posts and participate in community discussions. Navigate to the Community page and click "Create Post" to share your thoughts, questions, or updates with the alumni community.

7. Membership & Donations

How do I become a member?

All registered alumni can access the platform. For membership with additional benefits, you can purchase membership through the Membership section. Check the Membership page for available membership plans and benefits.

Is membership mandatory?

Membership is voluntary. Basic access to the platform is available to all registered alumni. Membership provides additional benefits such as priority event access, exclusive content, and special programs.

How do I make donations?

The platform is managed and operated by EASS (the contractor) on behalf of the University of Lagos Alumni Association (UNILAG). EASS handles technical infrastructure and platform operations, while UNILAG makes all decisions regarding content, policies, and services.

How can I report a bug or issue?

If you encounter a technical issue or bug, please contact EASS platform support at tundeijiyemi@easslimited.com with details about the issue, including what you were doing when it occurred, your browser and device information, and any error messages you received.

9. Privacy & Security

How is my data protected?
